The General Services Specialist will perform a variety of duties involving the logistics and supplies. Ordering, receipt, storage, distribution and payment for materials related specifically to regulated blood collection operations, and office supplies. Cover various General Services disciplines including mail room and photocopying. May coordinate and train the work of staff.

Major Responsibilities
*Plans and organizes the ordering, storage, distribution, processing, and payment for a variety of items and services.
*Transacts the movement of items using a consolidated financial system (inventory management system).
*Places order, and maintains appropriate stock levels of items.
*Keeps records and statistics relating to Materials, Printing and Mail data.
*Assist in the training fellow staff.
*Work independently to complete assignments.
*Complies with all regulatory and procedural requirements.
*Perform other duties as assigned, including print shop, mail and other assigmnments
Qualifications: High school diploma and valid driver's license is required. Knowledge of general office software, procedures, and practices is preferred. Two years of work experience in materials management is required. Must be adaptable to a regulated and system based environment. Must be able to adapt to an automated environment; including navigation through Windows, automated inventory control, automated receiving operations, automated order entry and inventory process. This position is required to rotate "on call" responsibility. Must have working cell phone or direct contact number at all times.
