Compensation $58,000.00-$75,000.00 (Range applies to US candidates only) + Benefits/Variable Comp./Equity - Range may vary based on experience.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for an experienced tax professional to help our company continue its steady growth. At OneStream, you will be exposed to a broad range of experiences within the global indirect tax field while growing your knowledge on other tax areas and also your business skills. The position will require interaction with other corporate accounting groups within the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities:
US Indirect tax reporting (sales and use tax):
Assist with technical analyses to determine where the Company should register for sales tax as we enter new states
Serve as point of contact for business partner inquiries from AR department
Calculate and file monthly sales tax returns
Prepare sales tax account reconciliation
Assist with responses to notices regarding state tax issues
Provide analytical tax and accounting support to internal business partners
Providing guidance on indirect taxes to US business units and overseeing external resources for support
Standard Accounting duties including, but not limited to, completing journal entries and account reconciliations
Manage OneStream Partner conversations to ensure compliance is maintained
Coordinate the identification, reporting and follow-up efforts associated with tax related system problems and errors, which will include responding to sales tax notices
Contribute to ad hoc analytical projects as necessary both within and beyond your primary area of focus
Secondary responsibility: assist with foreign VAT reporting on as needed basis
QUALITIES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
Formal Education and Certification
Bachelor's Degree in a accounting related field or equivalent work experience
Knowledge and Experience
4+ years of related tax or accounting experience with at least 1-2 years of experience within Sales Tax area
Experience with Sales Tax Compliance
Strong experience working within ERP Systems (Intacct)
Experience working with Sales Tax Software (Avalara)
