EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP: Just cause subject to probationary period
GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Career Center Supervisor, assists job seekers with Wagner/Peyser Employment Services activities, especially Unemployment Insurance work registration and job search assistance, assists with Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) orientations and job seeker workshops.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists job seekers with Wagner/Peyser Employment Services activities specifically, unemployment insurance work registration and job search assistance.
Refers individuals directly to other suitable workforce development programs.
Provides coverage for receptionists at the front desk as required.
Assists with RESEA orientations and facilitates job seeker workshops.
Operates an automobile to perform assigned job functions.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
One (1) year of experience working with the operation of workforce development programs.

One (1) year of professional experience providing customer service
Preferred Education and Experience
-
Associate’s degree or at least 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university in Human Services, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field

Two (2) years of experience working with the operation of workforce development programs.

Two (2) years of professional experience providing customer service

Workforce Development related websites such as Pure Michigan Talent Connect (PMTC), One-Stop Management Information System (OSMIS)
