A Contract Specialist/HealthWest, under the general direction of the Finance Director, works within the agency’s Finance Department. A Contract Specialist/HealthWest identifies needed services, provides allocations and current expenditure balance; comparing those to the purchase orders and making necessary recommendations; following current standards, policies, and procedures. A Contract Specialist/HealthWest participates in strategic planning for the development of new or existing markets, oversees and monitors completed contracts to assure ongoing compliance, and performs other related work duties as assigned. A Contract Specialist assists with financial audits and site visits. The Contract Specialist monitors and makes recommendations to management on compliance issues that may arise.
