Summary
The Saw Operator's primary responsibility is operating industrial saws to cut bar stock and other materials to specified lengths for a given job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Set-up and operation of industrial saws to cut raw materials to lengths needed for further production
Able to meet standardized production times related to product being made
Monitor part quality and identify rejects
May help train less experienced team members
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Ability to read tape measure and other measurement devices.
Ability to follow work instructions
Mechanically inclined
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Ability to use required PPE
Ability to stand/walk throughout the duration of the shift
Ability to work overtime based on business needs
Able to lift up to 50lbs.
Desired Characteristics:
Familiarity with Calipers/Micrometers
Experience with air and hand tools
Experience operating machinery
