2nd Shift Lead Diesel Mechanic

Accurate is seeking a 2nd shift Lead Mechanic at our heavy duty truck facility to supervise, manage, and coordinate the daily operations of this shift. Candidate must be experienced in a lead position, motivated & can take charge.
Some essential functions of this position include:
Assign daily work orders to the Mechanics.
Approves the release of equipment after being serviced by mechanics
Mentors, motivates, and develops staff, acting as a role model and resource for the team
Serves as the “subject matter expert” regarding mechanical/technical issues
Contributes expertise in regular team meetings
Repairs and/or assist in repairs of heavy duty trucks as needed
Job Requirements:
5+ years experience in diagnosis & repair
Mentor & teach mechanics
Strong leadership capabilities and a customer focused attitude
State Certification required
CDL Class B (Commercial Drivers License) preferred
Able to write, speak, and communicate in English (required)
Demonstrate the ability to operate equipment in a professional & safe manner
Ability to work independently on varying schedules
Strong attention to detail
Effective problem-solving, communication, and organization skills
Must be able to furnish your own hand tools
Some computer knowledge is preferred
