The Business Development Manager will have responsibility for delivering strategic sales goals while managing and growing the business with OEM’S and other customers in the assigned region. As the primary face to the customer, the Business Development Manager will play a significant role in supporting marketing strategies and have responsibility for the sales execution to capture current and future business opportunities. The position will serve as the customer advocate with responsibility for developing customer relationship and improving the quality and frequency of customer communications. This position requires ability to work with cross functional teams in support of the sales objectives and to ensure that customers' needs are met.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for meeting sales goals and objectives with assigned customers
Responsible for regular (weekly) reporting on activities and key issues
Participate and/or coordinates trade shows, conferences and forums as requested
Develop presentations and proposals for OEM opportunities with assigned customers
Utilize CRM database relating to assigned products and customers
Responsible for VOC reporting for assigned customers and accountable for resolving customer issues
Ability to analyze and develop business models in support of sales programs
Responsible for developing and maintaining a current list of customer contacts
Continuously improve business, customer and market knowledge and translate this knowledge into documented competitive analysis that can be utilized to drive strategic decision-making
Contributes to the team goals and supports other team members in the organization
Responsible for developing process improvements in support of the organizational goals
Ability to multi-task in support of customer base and a broad range of products
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Business or Engineering discipline.
Seven years of relevant experience in technical sales, marketing, or sales application engineering and. experience in selling products and services to customers.
Demonstrated ability to form and maintain good relationships with customers at all levels.
Successful history in identifying, targeting, negotiating and winning sales programs providing profitable business.
Analytical skills and disciplines in support of business planning, strategy development / deployment, relationship management and conflict resolution.
Significant travel required to support assigned customers and events
Ability to work independently and remotely
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficient in use of MS office package and ability to use ERP systems (i.e Oracle)
