Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in science and/or media technology.
- Strong technical knowledge of astronomy and planetarium equipment including all facets of full dome digital projection systems and telescopes.
- Minimum five (5) years of fulltime planetarium work experience including a record of progressively responsible leadership in operation, development and presentation of planetarium programs, supporting activities and supervision of people and programs.
- Demonstrated planetarium programming abilities including audio and visual editing and Digistar 4 or higher scripting.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, organizational, communication, leadership and supervision skills.
- Physical ability to perform all planetarium operations and maintenance operations including lifting and moving a maximum of 50 pounds and climbing within the planetarium dome structure.
- Documented entrepreneurial spirit characterized by a willingness to take sensible risks, the development and implementation of new programs and creative approaches to challenges and problem solving.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
