Main Responsibilities:
Supervisory Capacity: No Supervisory Responsibilities
Value Stream Analysis (Current and Future State Value Stream Mapping).
Collaborate with C.I. Manager to assess the Current state of the plants Operations; Develop Future State vision and implementation plan.
Drive multifunctional teams.
Using standard tracking and reporting systems, will prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely completion and achievement of product / process quality and savings goals.
Deliver YFIMS training modules.
Support other C.I. initiatives, including best practice implementation, while striving to improve Business Metrics.
Assist in the gathering of YFIMS Assessment data. Collaborate with C.I. Manager to improve Lean-relevant metrics, including those in the 6 panel.
Implementation of a time study system across all processes and use it to drive labor efficiency improvements.
Quality System: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Quality requirements.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Understand, apply and meet all function-related EHS requirements.
Product Safety: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements.
Compliance: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Compliance requirements.
Information Security: Understand, apply and meet all function-related IT / Information Security and confidentiality of YFAI information requirements.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
Employee must have the ability to work additional hours and / or overtime as needed or assigned to complete job duties on time.
Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive to designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignment (plant, corporate office, or remote).
Specific Requirements:
Bachelor's Level Degree
Area of Study:Engineering or similar. *Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
2-5 Minimum Years of Experience.
3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
Engineering/Process experience.
Solid knowledge of manufacturing principles and operations.
Certified in Lean Manufacturing, preferred certification as Green Belt.
Experience with Microsoft (MS) Project, MS Office.
Basic Statistical knowledge.
The ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
