Position Summary With minimal supervision, performs preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant operating equipment to ensure overall operating efficiency. . Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual preventative maintenance on plant operating equipment such as conveyors, packaging equipment, slicers, pumps, loaders, and injectors. * Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual inspections, including testing, verification, and/or calibration on plant operating equipment. * Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve complex operating equipment failures. * Utilize technical manuals to troubleshoot complex equipment failures. * Provide immediate and long-term corrective action to complex operating equipment failures utilizing root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques. * Utilize advanced maintenance techniques and equipment to assess the health of operating equipment and predict failures before they occur such as thermo graphic and vibration analysis. * Repair and modification of plant operating equipment with precision maintenance techniques as necessary. * Repair and rebuild complex operating equipment. * May assist in the training and mentorship of team members. * Perform all duties in accordance with safety regulations. * Perform other duties as assigned by supervision. **Qualifications:** Education Associates degree or equivalent certifications in mechanical and/or electrical field preferred. *Experience* 5 years experience in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, controls/PLC equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
*Skills* * Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively. * Demonstrated knowledge and experience maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding complex operating equipment. * Advanced mechanical skills including hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and troubleshooting techniques. * Strong electrical knowledge and PLC/controls experience preferred. * Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations in the American and Metric systems. * Ability to use schematics and blue prints during routine troubleshooting. * Proficient in the use of hand tools, shop tools, and mill/lathe. * Basic TIG welding experience preferred. * Ability to work in a team environment. * Basic computer skills required.
