Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical and emotional care to patients with mental illness or developmental delays
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and participate in crisis interventions, safety monitoring, and de-escalation
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, etc.)
- Document and report patient behaviors, progress, medications, and safety concerns
- Support individual treatment plans and a recovery-focused, person-centered approach
- Facilitate group activities, skill-building, and patient education
- Perform unit and household duties (cleaning, laundry, meal prep)
- Escort and transport patients to appointments and community outings
- Conduct safety checks, searches, and drug testing as needed
- Role model Pine Rest's mission, values, and professionalism, assist in training, and perform basic administrative tasks
Education & Experience
- Minimum 6 months post-secondary education in behavioral sciences or equivalent (preferred)
- CNA certification or 1–2 years of college coursework (preferred)
Schedule
- Onsite position
- May include weekends and holidays
