Clinical Nutrition Service Technician- Order Selection and Menu Support
Status: Full-time, 37.5 hours weekly.
Schedule: Monday to Sunday. Every other weekend required.
Shift: 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Location: Rehab and Nursing Kentridge, 4118 Kalamazoo Ave Grand Rapids, MI.
Starting at $17.00 per hour.
Answers customer/care team phone calls to assist with the nutritional care of patients by initially screening patients for nutritional risk, coordinating menu selection, educating patients that are on less complex diets and maintains pertinent patient information in appropriate software program to ensure the patient's nutritional needs are met.
Essential Functions
Assists with meal selection utilizing appropriate menu program while stressing appropriate restrictions and good nutrition.
Screens patients regarding nutrition risk, obtains diet history, allergies, food preferences.
Accurately maintains pertinent patient information.
Communicates with patient/family members, confers with the dietitian regarding special patient needs, nutrition risk, etc...
Assembles appropriate tray tickets based on diet orders.
Performs clerical duties, which may include answering phone calls, taking messages, typing, faxing and filing.
Answers phone calls for patient meal choices and provides product and service information
Qualifications
Required High School Diploma or equivalent
Required 2 years of relevant experience customer-facing service on phone or face to face; customer service and/or managed health care, elevated diet and nutrition software knowledge, time management, organizational and risk mitigation skills
Preferred High volume call center and Electronic Medical Record experience
