Engineering Project Management Sterling Heights, MI Contract Position Moseley Technical is supporting the global leader in the design, development, production, support, and sustainment of tracked and wheeled military equipment. Responsibilities: * Responsible for the planning and execution of engineering projects in our wheeled division which includes ensuring all obligations are clearly identified to successfully meet project cost, schedule and technical performance requirements. * Understand and apply the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of systems engineering that will aid in the ability to plan and execute engineering projects * Create project plans and schedules by working with the engineering organization * Lead projects and technical teams in the design, validation and configuration management of platform product improvements * Manage all projects within agreed upon scope, schedule and budget to a high level of quality and safety * Prepare bids and support any applicable proposal development efforts * Provide support to other functional organizations (Program Office, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Finance, etc) as necessary to ensure successful project completion * Forecast resources for the engineering projects for which you are responsible * Coordinate and support the development of corrective action activities * Identify critical issues requiring action in a timely manner and manage to closure * Develop and present executive level summaries * Utilize established metrics for monitoring project performance Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering preferred. Other technical degrees will be considered with relevant experience. Advanced/additional degree in Business Administration a plus * 10+ years relevant experience in the engineering/defense industries * Ability to Obtain Security Clearance * Familiar with Earned Value Management * Familiar with the defense acquisition process * Experienced in technical interface with customers * Organizational capabilities to direct and lead others in a team-based environment * Analytical skills and ability to direct and consult on technical analyses * Must be willing to travel (domestic and/or foreign) as needed * Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime Your Recruiter Still have questions?
