Rapid-Line is a metal fabrication company in Wyoming Michigan. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician for our 2nd shift. 2nd shift hours are 3 pm - 11pm Monday through Friday.
Experience Required:
Previous work experience as a Maintenance Mechanic preferred.
Job Description:
Provides guidance to maintenance department, assigns work tasks to maintenance associates.
Maintain and repair crane, compressors and dryers.
Troubleshooting, repairing or re-routing shop power sources such as electric, air and water.
Repair, replace or move fixtures as required as well as building repairs and maintenance.
Machinery repairs and upkeep as well as fixture/machine building
Must create and keep preventative Maintenance program and records for all equipment.
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair all shop machinery and equipment, or oversee the repairs if outside sources are required.
Repair or rebuild small shop tools as needed, such as grinders, buffers, saws, etc.
Must be able to read blueprints and schematics of machinery.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
Must be able to do mechanical drawing.
Will be responsible for designing and building jigs and fixtures as needed, with precision to meet or exceed the part specifications.
Will be responsible to run limited production of parts which requires the use of machinery from the maintenance cage, such as drilling, countersinking, etc.
Will be required to build or assist in the building of prototypes when needed.
Must be able to build or rebuild machinery as necessary.
