Job Description

Under the direction of the Administrator and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Teacher, Emotionally Impaired, plans, implements and evaluates the assigned educational components for emotionally impaired students.
• Establish and maintain an instructional milieu which will be supportive of positive behavior change and academic achievement for the students.
• Develop individualized education plans, performance objectives, and daily instructional plans for students.
• Implement individualized education plans for students.

Additional Requirements

Valid Michigan teaching certificate with special education endorsement in the area of Emotionally Impaired.
Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an endorsement in at least one Michigan secondary core content area (English Language Arts (including Reading), Mathematics, Sciences (including Biology, Chemistry, Earth and space Science, Physical Science, and Physics), Social Studies (including Economics, Geography, History, and Political Science), World Languages, Music and Visual Arts).
