Must have a US Bachelor’s degree (or a foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering and at least five (5) years of progressive experience as a Modules Expert Development or in a substantially similar position performing all of the following duties: Functional development of automotive components and modules for glass sunroof assembly components, including glass panels, sheet metal components and PU encapsulation tool. Provide expertise in the automotive glass making process with the specialization of the flush encapsulation process. Predict and design tooling curvature that accounts for reshaping post encapsulation process, including preconditioning/windage. Perform engineering analysis and data management for different properties related to glass. Development of robust components and modules by fulfilling customer demands utilizing 8D, CAD, Catia, Design of Experiments, GD&T, DFMEA and ECM. Creation and maintenance of parts lists. Presenting development progress in the scope of system reviews and work closely with the test lab. Contribution to quality assurance measures in the scope of APQP. Continual improvement, creation and implementation of lessons learned. Support supplier audits to ensure compliance with ASQE. Telecommuting permissible; Hybrid- 4 days in office, 1 day remote.
