GENERAL PURPOSE
This is a seasonal position with employment during the summer months. The seasonal park and recreation housekeeper is responsible for essential duties related to the cleanliness of the County’s parks and forest lands. Weekend and Evening hours may be required.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Work is performed under the direction of the Parks Manager
SUPERVISION EXERCISE
There is no supervision exercised.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Actively participate in a safe workplace culture.
- Keep all Delta County Parks and common areas clean. Including, but not limited to, cabins, office, pavilion, all bathrooms.
- Sanitizing and cleaning toilets, showers bathtub, countertops, sinks, windows, and doors.
- Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
- Sweep vacuum, and mop floors.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Maintain campground standard of professional clean and orderly grounds.
- Convey information to management regarding the status of equipment.
- Maintain supplies, tools and equipment.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Detail and quality oriented.
- Experience with cleaning and following written directions.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Must be at least eighteen years of age.
- Valid Michigan Driver’s License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- This position is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, possibly in adverse weather conditions.
- Requires the ability to exert moderately heavy physical effort in moderate to heavy work, typically involving some combination of climbing, pushing and pulling.
- Requires the ability to stand and walk and do repetitious tasks for an extended period of time.
- Requires the ability to lift loads of up to fifty pounds.
