Job Summary
Under close supervision, summer employees of this beginning level classification have direct interaction with customers at the point of sale, greet and act as hosts to visitors, take reservations, coordinate park entry, and complete cash transactions. The employees answer questions, give directions, explain facilities, and assist higher level employees involved in the general maintenance and operations of the County Park facilities. Depending on the work assignment, Parks & Recreation Attendants may assist in the operation of a contact station at a campground, day use or dog park facility, food concessions, nature center, pro shop of a County golf course or waterpark operation. Must be alert to hazards and follow department safety and emergency procedures. Works weekends, evenings, and holidays. May utilize current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Be at least 16 years old by July 1, 2024.
2. Pass the employment physical established for this classification.
