HOURS: FULL-TIME POSITION(S); MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK ALL SHIFTS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS.
WAGE: BASED ON EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Observe daily activity of Operators, report to management as needed or requested.
- Assist with the hiring and training of surveillance personnel.
- Ensure that a productive and positive work environment in maintained.
- Ensure surveillance procedures are understood and enforced, recording any irregular activities.
- Monitor internal radio communications.
- Coordinate the activities of the surveillance team to include shift coordination and vacation schedules.
- Assist with performance appraisals of the surveillance team.
- Communicate with all other departments in facility via radio and telephone.
- Produce, distribute and maintain proper reports and or forms.
- Attend pertinent training seminars and conferences where travel may be required.
- Oversee and assist with daily activities; including log books and memorandums.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in Surveillance. Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory role or related field. Must have a vast knowledge of Gaming operations.
Knowledge: Must have knowledge and understanding of company policies and procedures as well as general knowledge of closed circuit television equipment, digital video recording systems and its applications. Must have a general knowledge of computer data entry and access control programs. Must maintain positive attitude with all mandatory trainings including Title 31, Customer Service, and all others provided by the Island Resort & Casino Training Department and other outside agencies.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to and/or train to identify cheating methods and other related activities. Must be flexible with days and hours available for work. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Basic computer/keyboarding for data entry, basic operation, and security access control. Basic operation of CCTV systems, telephone and radios.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
During a 10 hour shift, this employee will have the following physical demands placed upon them:
- Stand/walk for up to 1¾ hours of a 10-hour shift.
- Sit for up to 8 ¼ hours of a 10-hour shift.
- Must be able to use both right/left hands for repetitive motion for up to 8 ¼ hours of a 10-hour shift.
- Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, reach, twist and rotate as needed during a 10-hour shift.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to work in an area approximately 30′ x 30′ with 4 other employees present. Must be able to handle constant interruptions, excessive noise, and must be able to make quick decisions and sound judgment calls.
