Job Description:
Reporting to the Machine Shop Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for issuing, receiving and storing tools and other equipment. Support the company goals of Zero Defects and 100% On-Time Delivery in a cost-efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- · Maintain inventory of tools and report data to the Tooling Development Manager and Tooling department with any issues or suggestions.
- · Inspect tools and equipment for wear or defects according to the worn tooling procedures, this includes mylars, pine gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- · Maintain records of tool use
- · Clean and inspect tools once returned to storage. Tools includes dies, adapters, gates, shape blocks, tape fixtures, ink jet fixtures, cutter bushings, saw fixtures, etc).
- · Work with scheduling on a daily basis to prepare the Set-Up Carts as needed in production.
- · Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow daily housekeeping and 5S standards.
- · Promote and maintain a culture and attitude of continuous improvement, working within the company team to make it more efficient, safety and an enjoyable place to work.
