Interested candidates should send a cover letter outlining career goals and CV to mdmelvin@umich.edu with attention to Dr. Noelle Carlozzi.
The Center for Clinical Outcomes Development and Application (CODA) at the University of Michigan (https://coda.med.umich.edu/) aims to achieve excellence in measurement development, selection and application to improve clinical health research and care. CODA, directed by Dr. Noelle Carlozzi, provides expert consultation for measurement selection and application to evaluate clinical questions and interventions; develops new state-of-the art methods that maximize measurement validity, precision, sensitivity, efficiency and clinical relevance; and utilizes novel measurement systems and strategies to inform the creation and refinement of interventions to improve the health-related quality of life of those we care for. Current research focus areas include the development and application of patient reported outcomes, and the development and testing of mHealth interventions that can be delivered as just-in-time adaptive interventions; this work spans several diverse clinical populations (traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Huntington disease, caregivers, kidney disease, surgical). CODA is housed in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (https://medicine.umich.edu/dept/physical-medicine-rehabilitation) and is one of the collaborating centers & programs of the Institute for Healthcare Policy & Innovation (https://ihpi.umich.edu/). CODA is supported by funding from federal, foundation, non-profit, industry and internal sponsors and works with a large, interdisciplinary group of collaborators at the University of Michigan and at other institutions in the United States and abroad to achieve its mission.
