Maintenance Machinery Electrician

Schedule is 6:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday, some Saturdays
Pay Rate: $28.00/hour
Maintenance Machinery Electrician performs work involving keeping furnaces, machines, mechanical equipment, or structure of the plant in repair as well as active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintenance Machinery Electrician
Achievement of Michigan Plant maintenance goals.
- Responsible for helping the Maintenance Manager with the functioning of all plant and nitriding equipment.
- Assist Maintenance Manager in effective “crisis management”, e.g., emergencies, accident investigation, and equipment malfunctions.
- Assists in all projects relating to equipment selection, design, and installation.
- Assists Maintenance Manager in the development of improvements in equipment utilization, performance, and reliability.
Maintenance Machinery Electrician Assists Maintenance Manage to Coordinate and expedite activities of maintenance.
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting motors, and belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
- Diagnose electrical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures.
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components.
Maintenance Machinery Electrician Responsibilities:
Carries out maintenance responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include inspection, upkeep, installation, diagnostics of equipment/machinery, repair of equipment/machinery, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
Maintenance Machinery Electrician Qualifications

Maintenance Machinery Electrician Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Two years experience in maintenance/troubleshooting of equipment in an industrial machinery setting. Additional training would include:
- must have machine-building electrical panel troubleshooting experience.
- safety training (i.e., Lock-Out Tag-Out)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information and blueprints that are needed to perform maintenance, repairs, or installations. Ability to observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, other maintenance personnel, and management.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts for estimating costs for labor or materials and measuring distances or dimensions. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions, in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
