We have recently added a new career opportunity for a Senior Project Manager position to our Professional Services team. A Project Manager provides consulting services, project management, software implementation expertise, industry knowledge and overall product knowledge, while delivering quality and value to our customers.
You are experienced developing, defining and executing project plans and ensure project completion is on schedule, within budget, and of the appropriate quality standards for the project scope.
• You excel at managing customer expectations to successfully deliver project.
• You’re excited about being the primary customer contact from project inception thru project
completion.
• You have demonstrated an ability to proactively manage changes in project scope, identify
potential crises and devise contingency plans.
• You desire to maintain a basic level of knowledge of current application with detailed knowledge
regarding setups and preparations involved in transitioning from one management system to
another.
• You will ensure a successful handoff to Customer Care team upon completion of
implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Detail oriented; demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities with efficiency and accuracy.
• Proven track record and ability to manage medium to large size projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient with MS Project, MS Office productivity applications and online collaboration tools
and applications.
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal, communication skills: demonstrated ability to present to groups, clients, and executives.
• Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Insurance industry experience required.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of project management or consulting experience implementing business
software experience required.
• PMP certification (desired but not required).
• Graduate Certificate, or other formal training in project management (desired but not required).
LOCATION
The East Lansing professional services team is responsible for implementing Producer Lifecycle Management (PLM), a SaaS product suite that improves the efficiency and accuracy of insurance and securities license processing for carriers, agencies, brokers and securities firms/education providers.
In total, we have 150 employees at this site and its minutes away from the Michigan State University campus and downtown Lansing. Our software developers drive technology choices and work in up-to-date frameworks, languages, and platforms.
