Griffin Transportation Inc, a Grand Rapids based company has a great opportunity for a Transportation & Logistics Sales Representative. This position requires an energetic, strategically focused and creative sales achiever that enjoys the latitude of working independently and effectively using time management skills. Candidate must be experienced and have the ability to build and develop new carrier relationships and manage & maintain existing carrier relationships. Position involves Liaising and negotiating with customers and suppliers, monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods, analyzing logistical problems and producing solutions. Candidate must also have an understanding of the whole supply chain so they can co-ordinate effectively. We offer competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Logistics/Sales activities
- Customer base is a huge plus
- Communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks while working with minimal direction
- Ability to be customer focused while keeping the overall division goals in mind
- Attentive to detail
- Experience with Internet Truck Stop & DAT is a huge plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business or related field preferred but not required
