The Information Systems Specialist will coordinate and perform the development, installation, modification, and maintenance of computerized information systems, networks, hardware, and software.
This is a full-time, year-round position and eligible for benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Consult with management to analyze computer systems needs for management information and functional operations; to determine the scope and priorities of projects; to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions. Recommend and develop plans for systems development and operations, hardware, and software purchases.
- Manage the development, implementation, and operation of the Company’s retail point of sale system. Coordinate updates, interfaces, computer and printer connectivity, and implement features not currently used.
- Coordinate networking throughout the Company to all retail and manufacturing sites.
- Maintain documentation of system information including system identification and passwords, IP addresses, and inventory of all hardware throughout the Company.
- Develop, implement, and monitor management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate activities with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products.
- Provide regular updates, status, and completion information to leadership.
- Provide for the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs, hardware, and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, surveillance cameras, barcode scanners, and credit card machines.
- Administer hardware and software for phone systems.
- Develop and maintain training plans for new employees concerning set-up and use of devices as well as security protocols.
- Assist personnel in diagnosing and solving computer software and equipment problems.
- Provide communication to and training of employees regarding the use of technology and security risks.
- Manage computer operation scheduling, backup, storage, and retrieval functions.
- Review reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine costs and impact, and address problems.
- Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans.
- Develop and manage systems budget.
- Oversee network planning, monitoring, maintenance and support (LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, CLOUD technologies, firewalls, switches).
- Manage telephony planning, monitoring, maintenance and support (VOIP, PBX, FAX, MITEL, CUDATEL, POLYCOM, handsets, headsets, peripherals).
- Ensure security systems are in place and fully operational (Active Directory, NTFS, SonicWALL GMS, ISO 27002, ESET-AV).
- Direct infrastructure planning and monitoring activities (Dell servers, NetApp SAN, Disaster recovery metrics).
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and four years’ related experience with information technology; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Office Suite, SQL queries, integrated accounting systems, and other common workplace desktop applications.
- Solid customer focus and the ability to work under pressure, organizational skills, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven record in working collaboratively with stakeholders to solve problems.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
