This position is a Semiconductor Program Manager is part of a team consisting of administrators and faculty whose collective purpose is to aid Delta College in leading semiconductor industry grant initiatives on behalf of the Business and Technology division. The semiconductor manager is a multifaceted role that is crucial to the development, management, and coordination of our semiconductor technology program. This position is designed to encompass a broad range of responsibilities, from program development to student support and to ensure the program’s success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
ENGAGEMENT AND OUTREACH
- Lead external outreach efforts to industry and educational partners to identify opportunities to collaborate in the expansion of the semiconductor industry.
- Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to actively contribute to semiconductor training and programming.
- Participate and lead meetings, semiconductor planning sessions, special events, and actively represent Delta College and semiconductor programming.
- Play a central role in marketing and outreach to ensure that the programming is well known in the region, and lead additional grant writing efforts.
- Lead various efforts to enhance semiconductor programming at Delta College enhancing our visibility and reach.
- Foster relationships with 4-year partners and industry parents who are stakeholders within the semiconductor industry.
CURRICULUM SUPPORT
- Collaborate with faculty SME and the academic services team to design, review, and implement courses and curricula for the semiconductor program.
- Monitor industry standards and emerging trends, ensuring we are abreast of new technology and responsive to regional needs.
- Oversee alignments of training and programming with the needs of industry and educational partners.
PROGRAM AND STUDENT SUPPORT
- Oversee the daily components of the semiconductor program to include correspondence, budgeting, and cost center management.
- Hire adjunct instructors to teach in the program while ensuring they have the resources needed to be successful.
- Stay attuned to industry developments, program management and other best practices for semiconductor industry.
- Create an empowering, supportive, and inclusive environment around semiconductors to encourage student success and overall program success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and experience within the semiconductor industry.
- 3 to 7 years of position related experience.
