As a Bake Shop & Espresso Bar Supervisor, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the shop from set up in the morning or the closing duties in the evening to ensure product is fresh and looks appealing to guests.

Typical shifts are either 8am – 4:30pm or 12/1pm -8:30/9:30pm (times change slightly throughout the year due to festivals, holidays or events) Schedules are given in 3 weeks at a time for easy work / life balance planning.
WORK PERFORMANCE:
- Responsible for the training and direction of the Bake Shop staff to accomplish: Exceeding Guest’s expectations by providing a memorable experience for each Guest. // Daily set-up, stocking, packaging and pricing of baked goods and store merchandise. // Clean and orderly stockrooms and Shop floor. // Attractive and enticing displays of merchandise in the store. // Maximum productivity at all times. // Product knowledge and Salesmanship with Guests. // Cashiering using the computer cash registers. // Bavarian Inn and Frankenmuth tourist information. // Sales of the Bavarian Inn Perks Memberships. // Department policies and procedures.
- Assists Buyer and Bakery Product Manager with merchandise when requested by monitoring Guest requests, product over & out sheets, items out of stock, and best and least selling items with the use of computer sales reports.
- Maintains personnel records and programs including employment requirements, performance evaluations, disciplinary and attendance records.
- Coordinates the timely unpacking, pricing and stocking of merchandise with the Manager and Buyer.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work area at all times according to the Health Code and follows all of the requirements for personal cleanliness. Sets the standard for Retail Salespersons.
- Works in a safe manner at all times, and eliminates or reports unsafe conditions or injuries when necessary.
- Be part of the 130-year Bavarian Inn legacy and proudly promote the Bavarian Inn Mission Statement.
- May assist in the baking of specific baked goods throughout the day, specifically pretzels.
- Attends department and company meetings as required. Attends Leadership Development training monthly. Has complete knowledge of Bavarian Inn Mission Statement and company handbook.
- Complies with department work assignments. Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Minimum of one year as a Sales Clerk or combined experience in a related guest service position.
- Neat appearance and friendly disposition. Able to supervisor others.
- Ability to stand and walk at all times.
- Ability to lift moderate weights occasionally from 30 to 50 pounds.
