Silver Beach County Park Maintenance (Seasonal/Part-Time)

• $12.48/hr.
• This temporary, part-time position allows for a maximum of 1,000 hours per calendar year. It does not include any benefits.
• Positions available at Silver Beach County Park in St. Joseph.

Duties:

• Responsible for assisting the routine operation and maintenance of a county park facility.
• Typical duties include sand removal (shovel or sand blowing equipment), weeding and emptying trash receptacles.
• Operates machinery such as a gator or pickup truck and other general grounds keeping tools.
• On-site training and employee improvement are provided.

Required:

• Must be at least 16 years of age with valid identification.
• No prior handyman skills or experience required.
• An employee in this class is required to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis and is required to wear a department issued uniform while on the job.

• General knowledge of the tools, materials and equipment used in the maintenance of buildings, grounds and facilities of assigned park.
