QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field and two years full-time work experience in similar field, preferred.
- OR
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field and four years full-time work experience in similar field.
- OR
- Must have an Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field and six years of full-time work experience in a similar field.
- Must have at least one (1) year full-time management experience with supervisory duties.
- Must have Grant writing, compliance and reporting experience.
- Must have the ability to strategically plan and assess program goals.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software and statistical packages.
- Knowledge of MS Excel (specifically, advanced formulas, pivot tables and charts).
- Familiarity with forecasting methods and data analysis.
- Knowledge of accounting best practices and Tribal, State, and Federal regulations.
- Ability to explain budgeting and financial information in plain terms.
- Ability to work effectively in a tribal community context.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with KBIC departments, schools, and community partners.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong oral and written communication.
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality.
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
- Must be CPR and First Aid certified, or must obtain within 90 days from the date of hire.
- Understanding of cultural competency and sensitivity in educational and community settings.
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Must be able to obtain a satisfactory clearance under the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act Background Investigations Policy.
- Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid unrestricted Driver’s License, and be insurable to operate KBIC fleet vehicles.
- Employment is contingent upon the satisfactory result of a Security Background Check, pre-employment physical, and drug testing.
