DESCRIPTION: Paraprofessional
LOCATION: Beal City Public Schools
STARTING DATE: 2023-24 School Year
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- The ideal candidate would have 60+ hours of college credit, which would make them eligible to substitute for teachers in a classroom. (Other highly qualified requirements can be met after hire)
RATE OF PAY: Starting pay will be $14.25 - $14.75/hour depending on education and experience
HOURS/CALENDAR: Approximately 7:45am-3:00pm daily/per student calendar days
SUPERVISOR: Beal City MS/HS School Principal, Dan Boyer

JOB FUNCTION
To assist, support, and work closely with teachers, administrators, and other team members in providing educational benefits for students.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with individual students or small groups of students.
- Assists in devising special strategies for reinforcing learning materials and skills.
- Performs clerical, classroom maintenance, and instructional duties.
- Performs assigned supervision of students.
- Performs assigned non-instructional classroom duties.
- Performs personal care services for students if/when necessary
QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES
- Highly qualified based on Michigan requirements
- Interest in children and education.
- Desire to assist students with special needs in a learning environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive records.
