Job description:
The business design developer works closely with the business engineer in scoping, researching, and developing an implementation map for Community Financial Credit Union’s member-facing digital portfolio. This individual will provide a nimble assessment of the requirements and the execution of launching short- to medium-term business objectives tied directly to Community Financials’ six-week strategic sprints.
Compensation for this position has a starting amount of $65,500 annually but has the opportunity to increase with relevant work experience and transferrable skills.
A Day in the life of a business design developer can look like:
- Work closely with the business engineer in identifying small- to medium-sized digital enhancements capable of delivering a disproportionately positive impact to Community Financial Credit Union’s strategy.
- Collaborate closely with the PMO, IT, and Insights team to ensure that all projects are planned and executed within the appropriate timeframe.
- Scope, size, and gather requirements of high impact, fast-tracked projects as determined by CFCU’s 6-week Pace & Purpose strategic sprints by the executive team.
- Translate well-defined business problems into technical problems.
- Perform software development activities such as high and low-level design, code, troubleshooting, and code documentation on application development development/enhancements/initiatives.
- Code merges, builds, deployments, and sets up the deployment environments.
- Perform functional/technical testing on deployment package, troubleshooting any issues that surface during testing and delegating the task of addressing these issues to the appropriate project teams.
- Collaborate with developers and QA personnel to manage, address, and resolve bug reports.
- Participate in the design, security, capacity and ADA compliance reviews.
- Task and allocate resources on the assigned projects.
- Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
What you bring to the table:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in data analytics, BI analysis, and development.
- Excellent relationship management skills to work successfully across the credit union and to quickly gain the trust and confidence
- Use of independent judgment and creativity applied to the resolution of contract issues
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain contractual provisions in easy-to-understand business terms
- Excellent organization, time, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail.
