SUMMARY
Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as shears, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials. Able to use all hand tools such as air grinders, die grinders, etc. Necessary to deburr and qualify sheet metal and weld seams by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reads and interprets and works from blueprints, sketches, or product specifications.
Operate all sheet metal machines.
Utilize measuring equipment such as height gage, pi tape, calipers, I.D. micrometers, etc.
Ability to do layouts.
Must have personal tools (i.e. set of screw drivers, pliers, mallet, set of calipers and allen wrenches).
Maintains good housekeeping practices at all times.
Understands, implements and maintains the Company's quality policy in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
In the scope of performance of duties and responsibilities, ensures that requirements of society, including laws, statutes, rules and regulations, codes, environmental considerations, health and safety factors, and conservation of energy and materials are understood, implemented and maintained.
In the performance of duties and responsibilities if assigned to the Repair Station, assumes responsibility for ensuring compliance with the Company's FAA Inspection Procedures Manual and FAR 65, as amended.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blueprints. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
