Overview:
The Benefits Analayst will design or modify wellness plans, appropriate for all Perrigo sites. He or She will provide qualitative and quantitative analytics including utilization, trends and program analysis to support the ongoing administration of new and progressive wellness programs. The Benefits Analyst will monitor and enhance the effectiveness of wellness benefit programs and service providers and will support the administration of other employee benefit plans and programs. The Analyst provides customer service to employees and managers regarding benefit plan elements and questions, and will be the designated contact/lead for Wellness and other specific benefit plans and service providers.
Major Duties:
* Support and manage all company wellness programs.
* Manage and direct the vendors involved in program creation and implementation.
* Coordinate the development of employee wellness and benefit communications.
* Provides reporting and benchmark data to identify wellness trends, develop executive updates.
* Draft and maintain desktop procedures to assist in the training of others for Open Enrollment and New Hire Orientation.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding eligibility and enrollment of employees and dependents.
* Operate in compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA and other regulatory requirements
* Preparation and filing of Form 5500
* Troubleshoots errors that are affecting eligibility rule application and corrects them within benefit plan program parameters.
* Act as collaborative team member in Benefits and HR Operations and facilitate resolution with insurance vendors for complex employee benefit issues.
* Provide New Hire Orientation as needed.
Required Experience:
* Bachelors degree in HR, Health Science or related field
* Five years of experience in Wellness plan administration, enrollment management and Health & Welfare benefit plan administration
* Experience in gathering, analyzing and interpreting Wellness utilization statistics, and recommending program or plan design enhancements
* Comprehensive knowledge of employee benefit plans, benefit plan administration and vendor management
* Highly organized and able to coordinate multiple tasks
* Critical thinking and problem solving skills
* Strong computer skills required; Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, and experience with HRIS database management programs
* Solid verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to clearly, concisely, and persuasively compose correspondence and narrative reports
* Displays outstanding customer service using diplomacy, sensitivity and confidentiality
* Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, ACA and other regulatory agency compliance
* Familiarity with 5500 preparation and filing preferred
