As a member of the Information System Storage team the IS ADMINISTRATOR, STORAGE will have the responsibilities of managing on-line and off-line storage systems for Gordon Food Service information systems operations. In addition, troubleshoots network and system problems relating to storage. Moreover, assists and contributes to the domain strategy and vision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
* Installs, configures and maintains backup policies and resolves problems and tunes systems as necessary.
* Monitors performance of storage environments and resolves or tunes storage as necessary.
* Manages capacity and plans for implementation of future capacity.
* Provides reports on utilization and trending, optimization, capacity and other information as needed.
* Assists with the development of roadmaps and contributes to the strategy vision of the domain.
* Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.
* Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate books, journals and other literature and attending related conferences, seminars, etc.
* Maintains peer relationships in the field to share issues and ideas.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
* Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
* Three to five years of information systems experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
* Experience with SAN Storage
* Experience with NetBackup, Centera, and Data Domain
