WSI is currently recruiting for a local, family-owned food manufacturer in Grand Rapids. We are currently looking for Production Foreman who have a flexible schedule and have the desire to grow within a reputable company.
The Production Foreman's role is to perform assigned daily quality tasks throughout the production facility while enforcing GMP, Food Safety Standards, HACCP Critical Control
Points. The Line Foreman is responsible for communicating directly with the Shift Supervisor and quality technician in a clear and professional manner at all times.
Some of the key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Food Safety: Ensuring that all food safety requirements within the plant are met at all times. All food safety concerns must be communicated directly with the Shift Supervisor and/or Quality Tech(s).
GMP: All Foreman will be trained on GMPs and will be expected to comply and investigate any situations that are not GMP compliant.
Machine Knowledge: Foreman are expected to have knowledge of their machines and have an overall mechanical aptitude. The Foreman will be expected to know troubleshooting protocol for the machines within the plant as well.
Training: Foreman are required to participate in training for general labor workforce as well as the supervisory workforce.
Labor Management: Foreman will be required to understand and comprehend the labor management needed for each line to properly run.
Please note: This position is fast paced and requires basic math and reasoning skills. The Foreman must be flexible in the hours and days that they work and be available as needed for inter-company work or weekend work as deemed necessary by the Company.
