POSITION SUMMARY:
ADD YOUR TALENTS AND EXPERTISE TO THE GFS MARKETPLACE TEAM AS THE DIRECTOR OF CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT WHERE YOU WILL PROVIDE STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP IN CREATING AND SELLING A WINNING VISION FOR ALTERNATIVE STORE CONCEPTS, WHILE DELIVERING THE CONCEPT ON-TIME, ON-BUDGET AND MEETING OR EXCEEDING EXPECTED FINANCIAL RESULTS. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LEADING A DYNAMIC RESULTS-ORIENTED CORE TEAM REPRESENTING STORE OPERATIONS/HR, SALES/MARKETING/CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE, PRODUCT/MERCHANDISING AND TECHNICAL SYSTEMS/DATA. YOU WILL NETWORK AND COLLABORATE WITH GFS AND GFS MARKETPLACE LEADERSHIP AND KEY STAKEHOLDERS.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

TAKES THE LEAD IN FACILITATING AND DEFINING STORE, FIELD, AND HOME OFFICE RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS TO SUPPORT ALTERNATIVE STORE CONCEPTS.
*
SERVES AS DIRECTOR AND BUSINESS OWNER OF ALTERNATIVE STORE CONCEPT STRATEGIES.
*
COMMUNICATE VISION, AND DIRECTION IN A TIMELY AND EFFECTIVE MANNER.
*
LEADS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A WINNING VISION THAT IS SUPPORTED BY CLEARLY DEFINED STRATEGIES WHICH PROACTIVELY LEVERAGES CULTURAL, MARKET AND CUSTOMER INSIGHTS AND SUPPORTS THE ONGOING ENHANCEMENTS OF THE OVERALL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.

RESPONSIBLE FOR FACILITATING AND PROPOSING AN LRP AND AOP. MONITORS, MANAGES AND CONTROLS THE BUDGET; ANALYZES VARIANCES AND TAKES APPROPRIATE ACTION TO ENSURE BUDGET IS AT OR UNDER PLAN.

ESTABLISHES ALTERNATIVE STORE CONCEPT KPIS, METRICS AND PAY FOR PERFORMANCE GOALS.
*
STAFFS AND DEVELOPS A DYNAMIC RESULTS-ORIENTED LEADERSHIP TEAM THAT EMULATES THE GFS VALUES AND DELIVERS ON THE RESULTS.
*
EVOLVES ONGOING ALTERNATIVE CONCEPT MODELS. ANALYZES AND TESTS THEORIES, PRODUCT OFFERINGS AND SERVICES. ADJUSTS AS NEEDED.
*
DIRECTS AND PARTICIPATES IN LARGE SCALE, COMPLEX PROJECTS.
*
NETWORKS AND COLLABORATES WITH GFS, GFS MARKETPLACE LEADERSHIP AND KEY STAKEHOLDERS.
*
INTERVIEWS, HIRES, TRAINS, AND RETAINS STAFF. CONDUCTS PERFORMANCE MONITORING OF STAFF, INITIATING FOLLOW-THROUGH WITH DISCIPLINARY ACTION AND TERMINATION IN CONSULTATION WITH HUMAN RESOURCES WHEN APPROPRIATE FOR THE DEPARTMENT. MENTORS, MOTIVATES, AND DEVELOPS STAFF AND ACT AS A ROLE MODEL AND RESOURCE TO THEM.

CREATES AND PRESENTS STRATEGIC BUSINESS REVIEWS WITH THE EXECUTIVE LEVEL AND PROJECT STATUS UPDATES WITH GFS EMPLOYEES AS NEEDED.

PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
*
TEN YEARS DIRECTOR AND/OR SR. LEVEL AND/OR GENERAL MGR. EXPERIENCE.
*
EXPERIENCE IN OPERATING A RETAIL OR FOODSERVICE DIVISION PREFERRED.
*
BACHELOR S DEGREE IN BUSINESS OR EXTENSIVE EQUIVALENT LEVEL OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE.
*
EXPERIENCE IN NEW BUSINESS START-UP OR LEADING SIGNIFICANT BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION STRATEGY/
*
DEMONSTRATED SUCCESSFUL TRACK RECORD IN CONSULTING WITH LEADERSHIP AT MULTIPLE LEVELS, PARTNERING WITH LEADERSHIP TO ACCELERATE STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION, IMPROVING ORGANIZATION PERFORMANCE AND EXECUTING TACTICAL INITIATIVES TO SUPPORT STRATEGIC IMPERATIVES.
