JOB DESCRIPTION:
Support the startup and employment development of our 24x5 new solar module manufacturing facility. (The plant runs Monday to Friday, 3 Shifts, 8 hours each one)
Reporting to Human Resources Headquarters in Norcross, GA ; the ideal candidate will handle all aspects of Payroll, including but not limited to Orientation, Benefits, Tax inquiries, employee relation issues, etc. Expected employee count at startup: 50-100 exempt and non-exempt
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the startup of the HR department
Manage recruitment process
Experience with Ceridian Payroll system
Wide knowledge of MI Laws and DOL
Day to day management of HR needs
Serve as liaison on benefits and payroll issues
Oversee all employee relations
Qualifications: Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
5+ 7 years of HR experience handling all aspects of Payroll for a small to medium sized company
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
Experience with Ceridian Payroll system
Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications
Thorough knowledge of Michigan labor laws and regulations
Demonstrated Employee Relations experience
Experience with manufacturing environment is a plus
Excellent attention to detail
Good communication, organization and planning skills
