Primary Responsibilities:
Support operations of a 24x5 new Solar Module manufacturing facility (8 hour shifts, Mon-Fri, 24x5)
Direct a team of module operators to achieve daily manufacturing objectives
Ensure that all safety, quality and other manufacturing and engineering procedures are properly implemented and followed
Achieve quality and output objectives
Produce production reports
Support a program of continuous improvement consistent with company business objectives
Provide training as required to line personnel.
Serve in a lead role in first aid and emergency response teams
Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Skills/Knowledge/Experience
Previous experience in supervisor role with 15- 40 direct reports.
Four-year degree in a technical field, (Engineering preferred)
Direct experience in manufacturing engineering
Experience with Lean Manufacturing.
Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments methods desirable
Experience in Photovoltaic or other Semiconductor manufacturing is desirable
Experience with implementing or sustaining lean manufacturing practices is desirable.
