Hemlock Semiconductor is currently accepting resumes for a Pipefitter / Welder Journeyperson for their Hemlock, MI manufacturing facility.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform all kinds of welding, brazing and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment. To maintain, install and dismantle all types of pipelines, fittings, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers as required for new construction and maintenance.
Must have completed a nationally recognized pipe fitter apprenticeship and provide documentation. Prior welding certification in accordance to ASME Section IX in GTAW and SMAW required; must be able to pass 6G pipe test and have experience welding small bore piping. Vessel fabrication and repair experience a plus. Additional duties include install, maintain and dismantle pipelines, fittings, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers as required for new construction and maintenance. Responsible for measuring, layout and drawing of piping systems. The work may also require interpreting specifications, blueprints, manufacturers' manuals, sketches or similar documents High School Diploma, good mechanical aptitude, basic rigging skills, basic computer skills, along with excellent communication skills and safety attitude are required. Willing and able to work and contribute in a team environment.
Must meet or exceed scores for Trades Qualifying Tests as outlined in the HSC Policy Manual..
