Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide support in various cost and inventory related areas, including but not limited to inventory analysis and tracking, material cost analysis and tracking, standard cost maintenance, freight cost analysis and tracking and preparation of recurring reports and ad hoc reports and analyses, as necessary.
- Fulfills various ad hoc cost accounting analysis requests. Includes many non-recurring cost related projects as well as routine cost analysis. Performs analysis and tracking of inventory, material and freight.
- Works closely with financial manager, estimator and pricing on standard product costing. Analyze changes in products, materials and processes to determine effect on product costs.
- Performs various tasks during month-end closing of financial statements, as well as, involvement at year-end.
- Supports the annual budget and planning process when needed throughout the year.
Minimum Requirements
- Two to four years of experience in cost accounting analysis and reporting concepts.
- Strong Excel/Spreadsheet skills. Strong Access Database skills highly preferred but not required.
- Experience with BCPS, and J.D. Edwards are a plus.
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
