TGW Systems Inc. seeks a Software Engineer who will enjoy working with logistics software in an automated distribution environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the team effort in all aspects of the engineering function from pre-order concept through post-order job site evaluations, including specifications development, software design, application coding, field commissioning as well as assisting project management. Previous experience delivering logistics software in automated distribution environment is highly beneficial.
Qualifications or Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies is preferred:
- Visual Studio 2010, C#, .NET
- Source Control (TFS, etc.)
- Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
- Entity Framework
- LINQ
- Oracle or SQL Server
- Unit testing
- Understanding of asynchronous and parallel programming techniques
- Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
- Windows Workflow (WF)
- Web Services or Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Responsibilities:
- Configure, customize and test our TS and WCS software packages for customer projects.
- Install and configure required computer hardware.
- On-site commissioning of hardware and software components in timely manner.
- Training and documentation of hardware and software
- Must be able to travel up to 40% of time on short notice, including international travel.
