Animal caretaker for weekend operations tends to the everyday needs of animals housed in the County Animal Shelter. Caretakers will be responsible for feeding, grooming, cleaning cages as needed. Animal Caregivers will also play with animals, provide companionship, observe behavior and assist in showing animals for adoption to the public. Must be able to lift 60lbs and able to handle a variety of dog breeds and not allergic to cats. Will work under direction of Shelter Kennel Manager. Part time 10-15 hours/weekend. Must be able to work mornings and afternoons on weekends and possible fill in for emergencies during the week.
Experience/Education
High School education is required with training or previous job experience working with animals.
