This position requires an on-campus presence with little to no remote-work opportunities. The Program Director is responsible for the oversight of multiple educational pathways within the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program, assuring that the program reflects current work place and industry requirements and remains in compliance with State and accreditation standards. They work collaboratively with the program’s Medical Director for the development and review of EMT and Paramedic field, clinical, and didactic components of the programs. The Director prepares program budgets, monitors expenditures, supervises faculty and the full-time clinical coordinator, assists with curriculum development, advises students, mentors and evaluates faculty and staff, and provides didactic and clinical instruction within the program as needed. Serves as the liaison with the external/community stakeholders and with other divisions in the college to promote student success. The EMS Program Director must be knowledgeable about the current versions of the National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Education Standards, and about evidenced-informed clinical practice.
