We're looking for the rare developer who feels as comfortable talking about design and user experience as they do writing HTML, CSS, and Javascript. This position will work with clients through the entire product lifecycle, from the start of an idea where they help design user experience, generate graphical assets, and interface with Android and iOS developers to turn the design into reality.
Once the designs are created, the ideal candidate would feel comfortable working on the web portion of a project, whether that's a customer facing administrative interface or a full fledged web app for end users. You'll get to work with the latest frameworks like AngularJS to build out a compelling experience for the user.
In addition, you will get to provide feedback and approval for the apps and websites we create, to make sure that the end product meets design expectations and works flawlessly. The fact that we're a small shop means that you get to wear many different hats but provides lots of areas to grow and be stretched beyond what you've done in the past.
Skills & Requirements
You'll need:
- Experience developing for the web using Javascript, CSS, HTML
- An eye for great design and ability to create one
- Familiarity with Adobe CS products (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- A desire to learn continuously
It'd be nice if you've worked with:
- Web application frameworks (AngularJS, Backbone.js, Ember) and associated tools (Grunt, Yeoman, Karma, LESS)
- Server side technologies (especially Python, Flask, REST)
- Designing for iOS and Android Apps
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred (CS, CE, Graphic Design)
