Chrysler Group Transport is a subsidiary of Chrysler Group LLC and is a fully F.A.S.T. and Hazmat approved operation. Chrysler Group Transport, with three terminals located in Detroit, Toledo, and Windsor, Ontario, utilizes top of the line equipment and employs over 700 employees. Drivers are needed to support same day dedicated routes through Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Ontario, or to provide trailer transferring services between a dock and trailer holding area (switching/contact work) at a specific facility. About 90% of the loads Chrysler Group Transport hauls are "drop and hook" and don't require drivers to assist in the loading/unloading of the trailer. All routes require CDL Class A licenses.
Basic Qualifications:
Valid CDL Class A license
Minimum3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (CDL A)
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work any of three shifts
Ability to drive city, over the road (same-day routes), and provide on-site trailer transferring services
No medical variance restrictions
Clean motor vehicle report and accident free history (no DUI or OWI)
Free And Secure Trade Endorsement (FAST) - condition of continued employment
Active Hazmat/Hazardous Materials Endorsement
Active Air Brake Qualified Endorsement
49 CFR Safe Operations Regulations Knowledge
Basic vehicle control skills
Previous auto component hauling
Introductory level computing skill sets
Good communication skills
Willingness to work in a team environment
