Carrier Great Lakes is a proud, privately owned, distributor of Carrier heating and cooling equipment, parts and supplies. With six branch locations we have enjoyed continued success distributing quality heating, ventilating and HVAC systems to Michigan and Northern Ohio HVAC contractors.
There is an opportunity to join the CGL distribution team as a warehouse associate in Livonia, MI. This position works directly with customers, vendors and CGL team members.
The successful candidate should have previous warehouse experience;
be able to work in a fast paced environment; have superior communication skills;
be able to lift 70 lbs; relies on teamwork, organization, time management, experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepares orders by processing requests; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
- Receives shipments; inspects product; stock put-away; utilizes business system; document errors; maintains bin locations.
- Loads and unloads shipments manually and with a forklift.
- Maintains quality service by following organizational standards.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Our products are residential and commercial HVAC parts and equipment, so experience working with contractors and dealers is preferred.
Experience working with Forklifts, Scan gun technology, Infor SX.e, SAP or other ERP business systems is a plus.
