Plans, directs and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plants: Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, quality control, and corporate standards. Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and work space for maximum efficiency. Confers with vendors to determine process specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates products according to specifying actions and quality standards. Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing production processes. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements, process improvements and potential capacity. Interaction and involvement with multiple functional groups within Johnson Controls is necessary to successfully execute the requirements of this position.
