Our group is part of the Advanced Product Development Group (APD) within the automotive interiors and electronics team and we design and manufacture vehicle interiors and electronic components. Inside your car, nearly all interior, electronic and seating components, their features & functions are influenced by Human factors. Our approach to human factors within our group is to enhance performance and increase safety and user satisfaction within the automotive environment. The APD group has been tasked with looking at emerging technologies that will help us differentiate our products from our competition.
Product Development / Prototyping Expert for our Global Advanced Product Development - Human Factors team
Your Responsibility:
*Aid in the creation of products and prototypes for the automotive interior of the future.
*Help, assist and organize the creation of our human factors based product line through content- based leadership in closed cooperation with teams in the Johnson Controls Interiors and Design Studio teams.
*Support and coordinate initiatives and projects across the JCI businesses.
*Build on your network of industry experts and suppliers to find new innovative products for the automotive interior.
*Work with third party research labs, universities and other R&D institutions and companies mainly in the areas of HMI, electronics, haptics, interfaces, etc.
Your Profile:
*Bachelor, Masters or PhD in electronics, engineering, computer science or comparable qualification. Good knowledge, capabilities and skills in prototype ideation and development required.
*Ability to work out creative and innovative solutions. Must possess excellent scenario thinking, communication and analytical skills.
*Enthusiastic and with a service attitude and interested in working with an international team.
