Reads job ticket for product size, checks product, size, color of laminate and quantity.
Verify or determine which product has priority.
Examine dates and NCR’s.
Checks product before running for loose backer and/or laminate
Examines piece for cracks, chips, and laminate defects
Must perform and fill out daily, weekly, monthly, and semi-annual maintenance forms, and report any malfunction to maintenance personnel
Responsible for minor maintenance, and coordinating projects and procedures with operators on other shifts, such as replacing saw blades, cutter blades, scrapers, and buffers as necessary
Inspect final product for chipped bands, short bands, high bands, and love bands
Other Qualifications:
Knowledge of unit measures and ability to operate hand tools
Knowledge of color matching and wood finishing
Prior experience working in a wood shop performing final finishes
