GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing the daily responsibilities for a team of individuals on a single shift in a single business unit to ensure that products are evaluated in a safe, efficient manner that meet the quality standards of the Company.
A basic expectation of employee performance is the consistent adherence to company rules and regulations concerning attendance, dress, safety, plant maintenance guidelines, teamwork, Employee Handbook policies, SOP's, GMP’s, Quality standards and respect for others. These are critical to every job and employee in the organization. Employees must meet these standards in order to be eligible for a salary increase.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTY EXAMPLES:
- Coach and develop employees in the incoming - QC team. This includes but is not limited to: training/re-training employees according to SOP’s, documenting employee performance (attendance, production, quality, safety, etc.), and providing performance feedback (written and verbal) to employees on a timely basis. Recommend promotions/increases for employees based on performance.
- Ensure team members comply with policies and procedures. These policies include but are not limited to: Company Handbook policies, GMP standards, Standard Operating Procedures and safety procedures. Recommend and implement appropriate disciplinary action when policies/procedures are not followed.
- Analyze both incoming - QC processes and team members to determine areas for improvement. Develop and implement improvement plans.
- Communicate with peers on other shifts and scheduling department to determine priorities for inspection team and to adjust schedules accordingly.
- Perform incoming inspections of components and materials.
- Sampling of materials for QC lab analysis.
- Record data, make ERP entries, file records.
- Identify and support resolution or improvement of incoming inspection procedures and specifications.
- Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials and assist with investigation and resolution.
- Operate inspection test instruments and equipment as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
